INVESTIGATION OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS SCHOOL STUDENTS' READINESS FOR E-LEARNING

Readiness for e-learning is an important variable that directly affects e-learning and is an important variable in the success of the participant. In this study, it was aimed to determine the level of readiness of sports science students for e-learning and to examine them in terms of determined variables due to the fact that teaching activities were carried out in our country after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay in 2023. In the study, which was designed with the relational scanning model, the research group was determined by the easy sampling method. In this direction, a total of 214 undergraduate students, 97 female (45.3%) and 117 male (54.7%), continuing their education at Gümüşhane University School of Physical Education and Sports in the spring semester of 2022-2023 academic year, constitute the research group of the study. In the study, “E-Learning Readiness Scale (E-ÖHBÖ), consisting of 33 items and 5 sub-dimensions, was developed by Demir and Yurdugül (2015); used. According to the normality results of the skewness and kurtosis values of the data obtained from the participants, t-Test for pairwise independent groups and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used for multiple comparisons. According to the results obtained from the research, it was seen that the participants had e-learning readiness above the average (4.58). When the results obtained from the independent variables were examined, a significant difference (p<.05) was found in the variables of gender, having a personal computer, using the fixed internet, participating in online classes from a computer or mobile phone, having internet problems; There was no significant difference (p>.05) in terms of exposure to natural disasters and academic unit of education. As a result, it can be said that the variables of having a personal computer, having a fixed internet line and connecting to the internet have a significant effect on students' e-learning readiness levels.
