This study sets out to examine music-related programs at mega universities. The study delves into the scope of music education offered at these universities, encompassing various levels, including program duration, objectives, course content, utilized technologies, materials, and other relevant variables. The research samples three mega universities, each situated in the continents of Asia, Europe, and Africa. It employs a qualitative approach, employing a case study methodology. Data for the study has been collected from the publicly accessible web pages of the sampled universities. The data has been analyzed descriptively. As a result of the study, it has been determined that all three universities offer music programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These programs are categorized into certificate, associate, bachelor’s, and postgraduate programs. The study duration ranges from 1 year to part-time studies spanning up to 6 years. Graduates from these programs acquire professional competencies aligned with their objectives, preparing them for careers as music teachers, music directors, music organizers, musicologists, musicians, composers, and researchers. While the music programs at the Open University in the United Kingdom and the University of South Africa cover many musical genres beyond classical music, the Indira Gandhi National Open University focuses on teaching national music without specific emphasis on international musical genres.
