USAGE STATUS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MUSIC LESSONS CONTENTS IN EBA

This study aims to examine the frequency of use and effectiveness of primary school music lesson content on the Education Information Network (EBA) platform, which is widely used in Turkey. It consists of total content under the titles of video, visual, document, magazine, audio and book related to primary school music lessons on EBA, and the sample to represent the universe was formed using criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods. All primary school music lesson contents uploaded to the EBA platform until 2023 were analyzed and their usage status was interpreted according to the number of views and completions of music lesson contents. A total of 498 contents for primary school music lessons are available on EBA, and data were obtained that only 156 of these contents were viewed and completed. This shows that only 31.3% of the content is used and the remaining content is not used. Based on the findings, it can be said that the most used contents are songs and anthems, and the least used contents are audio contents including rhythm repetition and melody repetition exercises. The content uploaded to EBA related to the music lesson should first be harmonized with the music lesson curriculum and their number should be increased.
