AN OVERVIEW OF THE PHENOMENON OF LANGUAGE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF HOLY BOOKS

Language is the most basic tool that enables people to express their feelings, thoughts, wishes or dreams to others. Language is one of the qualities that distinguish human beings from other beings and make them unique and unique. Through language, all emotions, thoughts and wishes find the opportunity to be expressed. People shape their thoughts within the framework of the possibilities of language and share them with other individuals. At this point, language is an important tool that enables humans to speak and communicate with others. Other living beings other than human beings can never realize the said communication in the form of producing infinite meanings and expressions, nor can they create it with the intention of conveying any thought. They communicate by instinct, devoid of thought. Therefore, many researchers have focused on the concept of language, and in this context, they have conducted various studies on the acquisition of language, the birth of language, the origin of language, what the first language was, how languages differed, and how words emerged. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of language based on the holy books. In this context, first of all, the theories about the emergence of language are emphasized; then, based on the holy books, the emergence of language, what the first language is, and the differentiation of languages are tried to be clarified. As a result of the examinations made in the light of holy books, it was determined that there are different beliefs about the origin of language. In all three holy books, the Qur'an, the Torah and the Bible, it is stated that Adam was the first human being to speak. However, as a result of the examinations made in the light of holy books, it was determined that there are two different beliefs about the origin of language. In the Qur'an, it is emphasized that language was taught to Adam by Allah, while in the Torah it is emphasized that Adam named the beings. However, there is no definite information about the first language spoken and how this speech was realized. However, it has been observed that explanatory information about the differentiation of languages is given only in the Torah. The study is considered to be very important in terms of revealing the appearance of the language issue in the holy books based on the Kur’an, Tevrat and Incil.
