ABSTRACT The purpose of education is to help people exist in society. One of the ways to achieve the purpose of education is art education. Visual arts education given in schools is therefore very necessary and very important. It is the duty of every teacher to realize the objectives of the course at the highest level in visual arts education. In this context, the research aims to compare the methods used in differentiated instruction and visual arts education and to reveal their similar and different aspects. Differentiated instruction, which is an individualized and flexible approach aimed at meeting the learning needs of students as an umbrella concept and which has been implemented in the curriculum of other courses in the 2024-2025 academic year, and visual arts education methods, which are a versatile aesthetic tool that allows students to express themselves with cognitive, affective, intellectual and psychomotor activities, were examined (Artut, 2004). Although there are many studies on differentiated education in other courses in the literature, the fact that there are only two studies on differentiated visual arts education constituted the starting point of this study. In this study, the document review method, which is included in qualitative research techniques, was used as the data collection method, and a comparison was made based on literature review. The data obtained in the study was evaluated with the descriptive analysis method. Within the scope of the study, articles, theses and books obtained from scientific sources in the literature were systematically examined. As a result of the research, visual arts teaching methods and differentiated teaching methods were presented together; their similar and different aspects were compared. It is hoped that this study conducted for teachers will be a guide in the planning phase of differentiated visual arts education. It was aimed to raise awareness in the field of education on this subject by revealing how important and necessary the importance given to Differentiated Teaching within the scope of the Turkey Century Education Model is for Visual Arts Education.
