This study aimed to investigate the correlation between the life satisfaction of teenagers from single-parent households and their reported levels of social support from family, friends, and teachers. Additionally, the study sought to determine the predictive value of perceived social support factors from family, friends, and teachers on life satisfaction. In order to achieve the intended objective, the researchers employed the relational screening model, which is a quantitative research methodology. The study's sample comprised 115 students who were enrolled in high school, specifically in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, within the İskenderun district of Hatay province. The data was obtained through the utilization of the Personal Information Form, the Perceived Social Support Scale, and the Life Satisfaction Scale. The findings of the study indicate that there is no statistically significant variation in the average scores of the Life Satisfaction Scale based on the manner in which parents are separated, as well as the average scores of the Family, Friend, and Teacher sub-scales of the Perceived Social Support Scale. However, a significant association was observed between the average scores of the Life Satisfaction Scale and the average scores of the Family, Friend, and Teacher sub-scales of the Perceived Social Support Scale. Furthermore, the average scores of the Perceived Social Support Scale Family, Friend, and Teacher sub-scales were found to significantly predict 42% of the average scores of the Life Satisfaction Scale.

Bu çalışmada, tek ebeveynli ergenlerin yaşam doyumu ile aile, arkadaş ve öğretmenlerden algılanan sosyal destek düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki ve aile, arkadaş ve öğretmenlerden algılanan sosyal destek değişkenlerinin yaşam doyumunu ne derecede yordadığı incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla nicel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Hatay ili İskenderun ilçesinde lisede, 9., 10., 11. ve 12. sınıfta öğrenimine devam eden 115 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği ve Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Bu kapsamda ailenin dağılma şekline göre öğrencilerin Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği, Aile, Arkadaş, Öğretmen alt ölçek puan ortalamalarını karşılaştırmak için non-parametrik testlerden Kruskall-Wallis H Testi, Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği Aile, Arkadaş, Öğretmen alt ölçek puan ortalamaları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek için Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Analizi Testi, Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği Aile, Arkadaş, Öğretmen alt ölçek puan ortalamalarının, Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamalarını ne derece yordadığını belirlemek için ise çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Sonuçlarda ailenin dağılma şekline göre Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeğinin Aile, Arkadaş ve Öğretmen alt ölçek puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı, Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeğinin Aile, Arkadaş ve Öğretmen alt ölçek puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu, Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği Aile, Arkadaş ve Öğretmen alt ölçek puan ortalamalarının, Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamalarının %42’sini anlamlı bir şekilde yordadığı bulunmuştur. Regresyon katsayılarının anlamlılığına ilişkin t testi sonuçları incelendiğinde, Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeğinin yalnızca Aile alt ölçeği puan ortalamalarının Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamalarını yordadığı, Arkadaş ve Öğretmen alt ölçek puan ortalamalarının ise Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamalarını yordamadığı bulunmuştur.
